Whitney Ranch – Site Improvements

This project involved full site development for a 20-acre retail destination within the Whitney Ranch master-planned community. The owner’s goal was to deliver a fully integrated site with extensive underground utilities and high-end amenities to support a major retail center anchored by Nugget Market and multiple national tenants. Stuart James Construction managed mass grading and a comprehensive utility package, including storm drain, sanitary sewer, fire and domestic water, joint trench, site electrical, and site lighting. Bio-retention structures and premium landscaping were incorporated to meet environmental and aesthetic standards. Our team implemented phased sequencing to coordinate heavy civil work alongside offsite improvements, ensuring uninterrupted progress and compliance with city requirements. This project demanded exceptional collaboration across multiple trades and agencies. Daily progress tracking, proactive communication, and close coordination with inspectors and utility providers accelerated approvals and minimized conflicts between grading, trenching, and electrical crews. Completed in July of 2025, the site provides a fully developed foundation for approximately 76,000 square feet of commercial space, including a 44,000-square-foot Nugget Market and multiple pad sites.
