Smart and Final completed retail project

Project Overview

The Smart & Final renovation in Citrus Heights modernized an existing grocery store through comprehensive tenant improvements, delivering upgraded interior and exterior spaces that enhance functionality and the customer experience. Exterior work included new paint, ADA-compliant parking striping, and partial site grading to meet city accessibility requirements.

Interior renovations included relocating existing gondola shelving and refrigeration cases, installing new refrigeration systems and floor sinks, making structural modifications to the mezzanine, installing a new rooftop HVAC gravity exhaust system, and updating finishes throughout. Additional scope included power washing roof tiles, replacing lighting, revising fire sprinkler lines, relocating utilities, and modifying concrete and asphalt areas for functional access and code compliance.

The project provided a fully upgraded grocery store with mezzanine enhancements, modern systems, and improved operational efficiency while maintaining continuity of store operations.
