Project Overview

This ground-up retail construction project delivered multiple shell buildings within Rocklin Station, a 6.64-acre multi-tenant retail and restaurant center at Sierra College Boulevard and Interstate 80 in Rocklin. The center was designed to serve as a vibrant commercial destination anchored by Cracker Barrel, Les Schwab Tires (separate contract), Habit Burger, Chick-fil-A, Del Taco, and additional retail and restaurant tenants, capitalizing on its high-visibility location across from Rocklin Crossings and adjacent to Rocklin Commons.

Stuart James Construction managed ground-up construction of the Habit Burger shell building, along with multiple single-story wood-frame retail shells designed for flexible tenant fit-outs. Scope included structural framing, single-ply roofing, exterior finishes, storefront systems, and integrated mechanical, electrical, and plumbing rough-ins to support a range of restaurant and retail configurations. Our team coordinated phased vertical construction alongside concurrent civil operations, working closely with inspectors and municipal agencies to deliver high-quality retail shells ready for tenant occupancy.

Through disciplined scheduling and responsive coordination, we delivered finished shells that enabled rapid tenant buildout and sustained leasing momentum at one of Rocklin’s most prominent retail intersections.
