Market 5-ONE-5

Adaptive reuse and full tenant improvement of an urban grocery market, including interior buildout, site paving, lighting upgrades, and new trash and utility enclosures.
Market 5-ONE-5 grocery store construction

Project Overview

The Market 5-ONE-5 renovation transformed an existing retail space along Sacramento’s historic R Street Corridor into a modern, neighborhood-focused urban grocery market. Developed as part of the area’s broader revitalization, the project delivered a full tenant improvement supporting a curated grocery experience centered on fresh, sustainable, and locally sourced food offerings.

The scope of work included a comprehensive interior buildout to accommodate grocery retail, deli, butcher, and prepared food departments, along with upgraded customer circulation and service areas. Exterior and site improvements enhanced functionality and safety through new asphalt slurry seal and striping, upgraded site lighting, and construction of a new trash and utility enclosure to support daily operations.

The completed project contributes to the continued growth of the R Street District by providing a downtown grocery market development that integrates seamlessly into the surrounding urban environment.
